iF Product Design Award

MULTICAL 21 has been awarded with the international iF product design award 2012.

The prestigious iF award recognizes the innovative design of the intelligent water meter which has been created in cooperation with the Danish design consultancy

MULTICAL 21 widens the gap to other water meters

Despite its familiar appearance, the MULTICAL 21 is very different from the traditional water meter's mechanical counter principle. The simple exterior hides advanced technology for metering and wireless data transfer:

• The water meter can be programmed to inform about leakages
• It can compare consumption over time 
• The battery lasts 16 years 
• It measures by ultrasound which makes it immune to wear and tear

Furthermore, the electronic meter is made of the composite material PPS, which makes it both light and 100% protected against penetration of water. It is therefore designed for installation in outdoor meter pits and in wet areas without losing functionality or damaging the electronics.
